TRANSACTION TRANSACTION LITIGATION BUSINESS SUCCESSION

Inseperable Partners

The law firm was founded in 1979 by Anthony Metaxas and Bill Norman, with Larry Pidgeon joining them shortly thereafter. Serving the North Shore's business community for more than 25 years, the longevity of the firm underscores MN&P's steadfast commitment to consistent and exemplary service to its business clients. During a climate of regular and dramatic change in many of the region's, and indeed the nation's law firms, our constancy is quite reassuring.

Located just north of Boston at the Cummings Center in Beverly, MA.

Based at the Cummings Center in Beverly, Massachusetts, the full-service business law firm of Metaxas, Norman & Pidgeon (MN&P) has been handling the transactional, litigation and business succession needs of emerging and established businesses on Boston’s North Shore and beyond since 1979. The long-term relationships we have formed with many of our clients have been built on our promise to deliver personalized and comprehensive legal services. Our pledge also has resulted in MN&P becoming the largest business law firm headquartered on the North Shore.

Delivering Results
Everything we do at MN&P is intended to satisfy our primary goal: to deliver comprehensive, cost-effective results that realize your expectations. Whether your legal matter involves a transaction ranging from a simple corporate agreement to a sophisticated merger, or if it involves a dispute ranging from a minor business disagreement to a complex litigation proceeding, we strive to provide you with the best possible outcome in the most timely and cost-effective manner available.

Access to Senior Attorneys
The majority of attorneys practicing at MN&P are partners or senior associates. Unlike some of our larger peer firms, we do not have a large contingent of junior associates through which clients must navigate in order to receive seasoned legal advice. While we believe in utilizing junior associates cost-effectively as an integral part of a client-service team, when an immediate answer is needed to an important question, you can rest assured that quick access to a senior attorney will be available.

Good Listeners
We take the time to listen to your needs and fully understand your goals. We frequently apply our prior experience as business owners to assess your legal issues. Unlike some other law firms, we never use our expertise as attorneys to reach conclusions about your situation in haste. We first try to analyze your issue from a business perspective. After all, the problem you bring to us is usually rooted in business, not law. Of course, once we understand your position fully, we apply our skills as attorneys to best position you for a favorable outcome.

Rapid Response
At MN&P, we understand that high-quality legal advice is of little value if it arrives too late. If legal advice is not provided in a timely manner, a deal could be derailed, liability could be increased, or your business could suffer some other serious adverse consequence. With that in mind, we believe that our responsiveness is every bit as important as other facets of our practice. Our policy is to respond to a phone or e-mail message as soon as possible, but in no event later than the next business day. Whenever an urgent matter arises, you should be confident that your next important decision will not have to be made without competent legal advice.

Well Connected
Although we are a law firm deeply rooted on Boston’s North Shore, many of our attorneys have joined us from other legal practices, including larger Boston law firms. As a result of that and the continued growth in our representation of businesses outside of our original geographic market, our connections now extend well beyond the North Shore and Boston, and stretch across national and international boundaries. Whenever it is beneficial for a client, we are happy to tap into our wide network of business connections to make referrals and introductions.
