Florian is licensed in New York and Germany and has joined the firm’s litigation department where he will assist in the representation of clients in business, commercial and employment litigation. In addition, Florian has experience in tax law including corporate tax, estate tax and international taxation, construction law, general commercial and corporate law. He also has experience in accounting and corporate finance, he is fluent in German and English and has a working knowledge of Spanish
Florian has worked for a variety of prestigious law and accounting firms both in the U.S. and Germany, including the international tax department of KPMG. He has advised German and international corporations on tax and corporate matters in both the U.S. and Germany and has completed consulting work for the top management of one of Europe’s major construction material suppliers. He has been involved in complex litigation in Germany and has successfully handled cases regarding the restitution of Jewish property in former East Germany.
Florian attended law school in Munich, Germany and in New York City. As a law student, he received a scholarship from the Hanns-Seidel-Foundation in Munich. He received his first and second law degrees with distinction in 2000 and 2002 and was graduated from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law’s Master program in 2005.
